What does Certified Pre-Owned mean?
A pre-owned Mac, iPad or iPhone that Anymacs has inspected, reset and tested before it is listed – certified by Anymacs, not by Apple.
Anymacs Verified – 16-point check
Every Certified Pre-Owned device goes through our quality check (QC) in our workshop. A device is listed as Anymacs Verified only after it passes every point:
- Display (dead pixels, lines, backlight, True Tone)
- Keyboard (all keys) & backlight
- Trackpad / Force Touch
- Ports (USB-C/Thunderbolt, HDMI, SD, MagSafe, audio)
- Camera & microphone
- Speakers
- Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
- Battery health & cycle count checked
- Charging works
- Touch ID / Face ID
- Find My / iCloud OFF
- Activation Lock OFF
- MDM / DEP not enrolled
- Data erased (DFU restore / Erase All Content)
- Body condition / dents / scratches noted
- Stress test (CPU/GPU) passed
Warranty
- Pre-owned devices come with Anymacs warranty: 1-month hardware warranty and 1-year service support from Anymacs.
- The exact warranty for each device is written on its page and on your bill, and we tell you before you buy.
- If the device is still under Apple's own warranty or AppleCare, that is handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
What it is not
- "Certified Pre-Owned" is Anymacs' own check. It is not an Apple certification and not an Apple programme.
- Apple MRP shown on our Configure pages is Apple's price for a new device, only for comparison.
